In the Rudnyansky district of Volgograd region, they will bid farewell to 27-year-old Denis Rossokhatsky, who was killed in Ukraine. The man volunteered for the special military operation zone by signing a contract. However, he tragically died during an assault in November this year. Yesterday would have been his 28th birthday.
Information about the farewell for Denis Rossokhatsky was released by the administration of Rudnyansky district.
«On 26 November 2025, while carrying out a combat mission during the special military operation, our fellow countryman Rossokhatsky Denis Alexeyevich was killed. Denis Alexeyevich honorably fulfilled his military duty to defend the Motherland. The farewell will take place on 11 December at the Lopukhovskiy rural cultural center.»
As told to V1.RU by his mother Lyudmila, in ordinary life Denis worked for local farmers, and in his free time he was fond of cars. He did not serve mandatory military service due to health problems, but always wanted to be involved in military affairs. On 26 August 2024, he signed a contract and departed for the special military operation zone.
«There he was a rigger, carrying out the dead and wounded guys. The last time he called me was on 25 November, 12 hours before his death, he didn»t warn about anything. He was all overgrown… I say: «Son, how are you there?» He says: «It»s okay, mom, we«re sitting, waiting for the fog.» And on 26 November he died during an assault…. He was so kind, always ready to help. I don«t know why God didn»t protect him,« Lyudmila says. »I bought cakes, was handing them out to the kids in the village… In the evening they called me and said that he is being brought home from the morgue. We are waiting for him…«
They will bid farewell to Denis Rossokhatsky tomorrow, 11 December, with full military honors. His mother is his only surviving relative.
