Yakutia has for the first time entered the rating of Russian regions producing organic products. This was reported by 14.RU citing the press service of Roskachestvo. The first and so far only producer of certified products is the young cooperative «Urdel» from the Khangalassky District.
Organic products are those grown or produced without the use of synthetic pesticides, synthetic mineral fertilizers, antibiotics, growth hormones, and the like.
Although Yakutia has 788 agro-industrial enterprises, only the cooperative «Urdel» has passed inspection by the certification body «Roskachestvo — Organic» and received the right to label its goods with this state mark. The certification includes the production of organic potatoes and cattle. The Unified State Register of Organic Producers of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture indicates that the «Urdel» certificate is valid until 2028. It is known that the enterprise was registered on January 17, 2025, in the village of Bulgunnakhtakh, and its head is Vyacheslav Markov.
Along with Yakutia, six other newcomers have entered the rating of organic regions: Bryansk, Pskov, Murmansk, and Chelyabinsk Oblasts, the Republic of Karelia, and Kamchatka Krai. In total, there are 57 entities in the list of organic regions. Currently, the leader is Voronezh Oblast, where there are already 21 producers with such a Roskachestvo certificate.
