A traumatic traffic accident involving a tram occurred on January 30 on Golubinskaya Street in Volgograd, directly opposite the building of the main investigative department of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD).
Surveillance cameras captured the moment when a young woman was crossing the rails in front of a slowly moving tram. The vehicle struck her, throwing the pedestrian aside. After the impact, she remained lying on the ground motionless.
The Russian MVD directorate for Volgograd Region confirmed the details of the incident. According to their data, the accident happened at 13:04. The tram driver was a 25-year-old woman. The collision occurred with a pedestrian crossing the tracks opposite house No. 7 on Golubinskaya Street.
The victim was promptly taken to the nearest medical facility. The regional health committee reported that the girl was hospitalized at Emergency Hospital No. 25 for necessary examination.
This is not the first traffic accident at this location recently. A week earlier, a Ford Focus car collided with tram route «L» at the same spot when the driver attempted to cross the rails.
