Girl Nearly Hit by Tram Outside Volgograd Regional Interior Ministry

A serious accident on Golubinskaya Street was caught on video. A girl was almost run over by a tram near the building of the main investigative department of the Russian Interior Ministry for the Volgograd Region.

Recall that yesterday, January 30, eyewitnesses reported an accident in which a girl was hit by a tram. The moment was captured by external surveillance cameras: the footage shows the victim crossing the tracks as a tram is moving slowly on them. Then it hits the girl, who is thrown aside and lies motionless.

The Main Directorate of the Russian Interior Ministry for the Volgograd Region reported:

According to preliminary information, at 13:04, a 25-year-old female tram driver opposite house No. 7 on Golubinskaya Street hit a female pedestrian who was crossing the tram tracks. As a result of the accident, the victim was taken to a medical facility.

Still yesterday, the regional health department told V1.RU that the girl had been hospitalized.

The regional health committee reported:

The girl was taken to Emergency Hospital No. 25, where she is currently undergoing examination.

The editorial office is clarifying with the department about the girl«s current condition. Later, the regional health department reported that the girl is in intensive care.

The health department added:

She is receiving treatment in the intensive care unit. Doctors are doing everything possible to preserve her life and health.

Recall that a week earlier at the same location, a Ford Focus collided with one of the trams, nicknamed «lions»: the car was trying to cross the tram tracks, but crashed into a train moving perpendicularly.
