Dog pack chews and scratches car in Kamyshin near Volgograd

In Kamyshin, one local resident«s morning didn»t start with coffee: according to Konstantin Shipilov, around 6 a.m., a pack of stray dogs tried to get a cat from under his car and ended up chewing and scratching the vehicle. The license plates were torn off and thrown aside, the bumper bore marks of teeth and claws, and even the internal mechanism was damaged by the dogs.
Konstantin recounts:
«In the morning, as usual, I was getting ready for work. A neighbor calls: he says, a pack of dogs damaged your car. I look out the window, and there»s the license plate torn off along with the grille. I went out — it«s all bitten, chewed up in front. Then another neighbor from upstairs told me: the dogs chased a cat under the car, tried to get it, started jumping on the car. The neighbor scared them off. They didn»t just damage the outside, but also inside: with the radiator, there are air ducts that they tore out. But they didn«t seem to get the cat — no blood.»
As Konstantin explains, the dogs have been living near Voiny-Internationalistov Street for not the first month, and there«s a reason for that:
«In the house opposite lives an old lady. She brings them food every day. There are such kind-hearted people who won»t take them in but will bring them something to eat. This pack barks constantly at night, doesn«t let people sleep. Plus, they run around all together, scaring people. Last year, they grabbed at my wife»s coat, bit. You can«t even shoo them away — there are 5–6 dogs running, two of them are really big.»
The editorial office of V1.RU passed the information about the incident to the administration of Kamyshin.
Recall that Kamyshin residents are not the first to complain about stray dog aggression. In May last year, they destroyed enclosures with chickens and rabbits, and a month later frightened residents of Lesozashchitnaya Street. The administration of Kamyshin then stated that they regularly capture stray dogs, perform sterilization, vaccination, and return them to their natural habitat as part of a program aimed at reducing the population of stray animals.
In Volgograd, aggression from stray dogs is also a problem that residents constantly complain about. For example, in the Kirovsky district, according to local residents, for a long time now a pack of wild dogs has been attacking passersby. One of the victims reported that an enraged dog bit him on the leg, forcing him to go to the emergency room and receive vaccinations for rabies and tetanus. The incident has drawn interest from the Investigative Committee.
