Contractor Damages Pipeline, Cutting Water to Nearly 30 Homes in Chita

A contractor, LLC Irbit, damaged a cold water pipeline near a school in Chita during construction work. The city's water utility is working to restore supply, with repairs expected to take six hours.

A contracting organization, LLC Irbit, damaged a cold water supply pipeline near School No. 17 in Chita. This was reported on January 20 in the Telegram channel of JSC Vodokanal-Chita.

It is specified that the organization was carrying out construction work. Now, due to the pipeline damage, 26 apartment buildings and four social service facilities have been left without water.

The press service of Chita«s Vodokanal clarified that the water shutdown affects buildings on Kovyli»naya, Prigorodnaya, Zootekhnicheskaya, and Zhelezobetonnaya streets, as well as Zhelezobetonny lane.

«At present, employees of Vodokanal-Chita are working to eliminate this accident. The estimated time for the work is 6 hours. Water delivery will be organized,» the statement said.

According to the Kontur.Fokus system, LLC Irbit is engaged in the construction of residential and non-residential buildings. The company is registered in Chita, founded in 2020. It is managed and owned by Denis Kotov.
