In 2025, Boguchanskaya HPP generated and supplied over 17.24 billion kWh of electricity. Since the commissioning of its first units in October 2012 through 1 January 2026, Boguchanskaya HPP has produced 196.37 billion kWh of energy. In terms of output in 2025, the station ranked fifth among the hydroelectric power plants of the Russian Federation.

Production results comparable to the annual projected output were due to hydrological conditions: water levels in the Angara cascade were lower than in previous years. The average water flow through the hydroelectric units of Boguchanskaya HPP was 3,118.9 m3/s, which is 563.1 m3/s less than in 2024. The average level of the Boguchanskoye reservoir was at 207.55 m above the Baltic Sea level, with no recorded exceedances of the normal retention level (208 m).

During the year, new structural units were created at the HPP: an operations service, a department for technical re-equipment of equipment and hydraulic structures, and a civil defense and emergency situations department. The main tasks of the new units are to ensure accident-free operation and electricity production, and to increase the reliability and service life of equipment and structures.

Joint Stock Company «Boguchanskaya HPP» paid over 14.35 billion rubles (approximately $143.5 million at current rates) to budgets at all levels, which is 12.4% more than the results for 2024. About 8.82 billion rubles ($88.2 million) went to the federal budget, representing a 40.2% increase in contributions. The HPP directed over 5.51 billion rubles ($55.1 million) to the regional treasury and remains among the top 10 enterprises that together provide 44% of the Krasnoyarsk Territory«s budget revenues. Payments to the municipal budget in the form of land lease fees were increased to 16.6 million rubles ($166,000), and the total amount of taxes and contributions to extra-budgetary funds exceeded 14.66 billion rubles ($146.6 million).

The power engineers constantly improve their professional training. Over the past year, 420 managers, specialists, and workers of Boguchanskaya HPP completed training under additional education programs of Tomsk Polytechnic University, the Corporate University of Hydropower of PJSC «RusHydro,» and other educational institutions. As of 31 December 2025, 68.7% of the station«s employees have higher education, 28.3% have secondary vocational education, and every tenth employee holds two higher education diplomas.

The HPP«s team is making great efforts to train new personnel for Russia»s energy sector. 22 students completed internships at Boguchanskaya HPP units, which is almost three times more than the year before. Most of them study at the Sayano-Shushensky Branch of Siberian Federal University, Siberian State University of Science and Technology named after M.F. Reshetnev, National Research University «Moscow Power Engineering Institute,» and Priangarsky Polytechnic College.
