The basis for the prosecutor«s inspection was citizen appeals and information from activists of the regional branch of the All-Russian People»s Front (ONF). They reported improper organization of street lighting in the evening and night time on Ganinskaya Street in Kirovo-Chepetsk.
During the inspection, employees of the Kirovo-Chepetsk city prosecutor«s office confirmed the fact of no light on the specified street. This posed a threat to the safety of road users.
To eliminate the violation, the prosecutor«s office issued a representation, and then, to stop the inaction, filed a lawsuit in court. The judge ordered the defendant to restore the lighting by compulsory means.
The court decision was carried out: 22 new lights were installed and put into operation on Ganinskaya Street. Now the area is illuminated in the dark.
