Yekaterinburg Police Names Most Crime-Prone Districts
The Ordzhonikidzevsky district recorded the highest number of crimes in Yekaterinburg in 2025, city police chief Viktor Poznyak announced.

City police chief Viktor Poznyak presented the crime statistics for Yekaterinburg«s districts in 2025.
The leader in the number of registered offenses was the Ordzhonikidzevsky district, where 2,920 crimes were committed.
- Second place went to the Verkh-Isetsky district with 2,741 crimes.
- Third place went to the Leninsky district, where 2,575 crimes were recorded.
The lowest crime rates were observed in the Chkalovsky district (1,668 cases) and the Oktyabrsky district (1,671 cases).
A year earlier, the crime situation was different: the anti-rating was topped by the Chkalovsky and Verkh-Isetsky districts.
Earlier surveys of city residents also pointed to the high criminal reputation of the Ordzhonikidzevsky district, especially the Uralmash microdistrict, which has been associated with increased crime since the 1990s. In such surveys, the Zheleznodorozhny district often took second place, while the Chkalovsky and Verkh-Isetsky districts were in third and fifth positions, respectively.
