Volgograd police decline to investigate private photo leak on Telegram

The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD) reported that it is not investigating the online distribution of nude photos and the personal phone number of a resident of Yerzovka settlement, Gorodishchensky District, Volgograd Oblast, Russia, who reported the leak of her private materials as early as summer. The woman filed complaints about police officers« work with the prosecutor»s office, but also received a refusal there.

«There are no criminal cases in the proceedings of internal affairs bodies regarding the mentioned events,» the MVD briefly replied to the editorial board«s official inquiry.

However, police officers did not say whether a check was conducted into the facts of distribution of intimate photos and personal data of the woman, as well as slander, threats of physical violence, and illegal entry onto private property.

Recall, a resident of Yerzovka settlement said that a lover who deceived her leaked her personal photos and phone number to a sex-dating chat, writing that she was engaged in prostitution. After that, the man, together with his wife, mother-in-law, and a certain friend who introduced himself as a law enforcement officer, illegally entered the territory of the woman«s private house and caused a scandal, threatening his former lover. The man accused his ex-lover of blackmail and extortion, but did not deny distributing the intimate photos.

At the same time, the administrator of the intimate-dating chat, whom the woman asked to help sort out the situation and delete her data, admitted that the woman«s ex-suitor had distributed her nude photos, and after the publication, the woman complained of threats from a friend of her former lover, who allegedly works in law enforcement.
