Teenager remanded in custody over mother's stabbing

A court in Nizhny Tagil ruled to detain a 15-year-old teenager accused of murdering a mother of many children. The crime occurred in the settlement of Gornouralsky. The investigation found that on January 6, Natalia Kiryanova was returning home from a store and met an unknown youth in the stairwell. He stabbed the woman in the abdomen and fled. The victim died in the hospital on January 12.

The suspect, referred to in the case as Anton, was quickly detained and placed under house arrest. However, the teenager escaped and was at large for five days. Given this circumstance, the court refused to leave him free and chose arrest as a preventive measure for a period of one month and 16 days.

The court hearing was broadcast online. According to available information, Anton is described as a cruel and aggressive young man. The boy«s father, in turn, does not believe in his son»s guilt. It also became known that before escaping, the teenager left a note for his relatives where he claimed he did not commit the murder.
