Perm Woman Accuses Orderly of Rape After Waking Naked

A 21-year-old Perm woman filed a police report alleging that she was raped by an orderly at a regional addiction clinic. The student and her boyfriend agreed to tell 59.RU the circumstances of what happened. The regional Investigative Committee confirmed that an investigation is underway.

New Year Celebrated at a Club

The girl agreed to give an interview to a 59.RU correspondent only in the presence of her lawyer, Alexey Berezin, and her boyfriend, Artyom.

21-year-old Yelena came to Perm from a small town and studies here. On the night of December 31 to January 1, the student was relaxing at her boyfriend Artyom«s home. After 4 a.m., the couple decided to go to a nightclub. They stayed there until 6 a.m.

In a conversation with a 59.RU correspondent, Yelena said that at Artyom«s home, she drank some champagne, and at the club, she had 4-5 shots, but did not feel drunk. Since the establishment was closing at 6:00, the couple was asked to leave.

«We went outside into the fresh air, apparently that affected me,» Yelena recalls. «I was waiting for Artyom from the toilet, and I only remember my words: »Oh, you«re back.»«

What happened next, Yelena cannot remember, but Artyom does. According to him, he called a taxi three times — he wanted to take the girl home, but the order was canceled. In the end, they walked towards Artyom«s home, but on the way, they saw a police station. Artyom decided to ask the police to take the girl.

«Lena could no longer walk, they took us into the police station,» Artyom recalls. «Lena was falling, couldn»t stand on her feet, she started having a hysterical fit. I asked the police to help, with a service car they could have taken her home in about 10 minutes. Moreover, there was no traffic. They answered me that police officers cannot leave their duty station.«

Artyom started calling a taxi again, when the car arrived, the taxi driver flatly refused to take Lena, stating that he «would not take a girl in an inadequate condition.»

Yelena fell asleep in the station. As Artyom recalls, around 8 a.m., the police called an ambulance for her.

«The medics arrived in 10 minutes, I wanted to go with Lena, but they didn»t let me, because we are not relatives and not married,« says Artyom.

From the medics, Artyom learned that Yelena would be taken to the addiction department of the regional clinic on Chaikovsky Street, 35A. People in a state of alcohol intoxication are often delivered there because there are no sobering-up stations in the city. The guy himself went home.

«Oh, You»re Awake«

Further, the story is continued by Yelena.

«I woke up in the afternoon naked and saw an unfamiliar man next to me,» the girl says quietly. «I»m completely naked under one blanket, he«s clothed! All my clothes were scattered around the ward. I wasn»t so drunk as to undress completely. The man was in medical uniform: a blue shirt and blue pants. I jumped up, saying: «Who are you and where am I?» To which he answered me: «Oh, damn, you»re in the addiction clinic, you were brought here.« I say: »Where are my things?« This man told me to get dressed.»

Yelena hurriedly searched for her things and discovered that 900 rubles (about $10 at current rates), a costume jewelry ring, and an iPhone 15, which the girl bought for a hundred thousand rubles (about $1,100), were missing from her bag.

The orderly took Yelena to the cloakroom, she was asked to sign a paper stating that she did not intend to continue treatment.

«I asked this man where my money and phone were. He said: »I don«t know anything,»« Yelena recalls. »I asked him: «Why did you wake up with me?» he said: «I don»t know.« He was drunk. I also saw that he was limping.»

Also, according to Yelena, in the cloakroom she noticed three men, all of them were sleeping.

«These were also employees, apparently, they had been drinking all night,» the girl is sure. «One of them woke up and said to us: »Oh, you«re awake.» He was addressing exactly the two of us: me and the orderly.«

After Yelena got dressed, the orderly called a taxi for her. The girl came to Artyom, told him what happened. Artyom«s mother said that they needed to go to the police urgently and file a report.

On January 2, at the police department of the Industrial District, Yelena filed a report of rape. The girl was sent for an examination by a gynecologist. After the medical examination, Yelena was informed that traces of sexual violence were found on her.

«By Law, a Criminal Case Should Be Opened Immediately»

Yelena«s lawyer, Alexey Berezin, who was present at the interview, emphasizes: over the month, law enforcement agencies have not taken any active investigative actions.

«Initially, doctors do conduct an external examination. Then, by law, a criminal case should be opened immediately, and within this criminal case, the investigator issues a ruling on the appointment of a forensic medical examination,» the lawyer emphasized.

Alexey Berezin notes that based on the girl«s report, the police should have conducted so-called operational-search measures, a primary interview, immediately done an examination — and all these materials should have been transferred to the Investigative Committee right away.

Yelena and Artyom themselves, in a conversation with a doctor who worked in this addiction department, found out that this orderly had harassed other women before. At the time of Yelena«s report, he continued to work in the addiction clinic. Artyom notes: he himself found out the identity of the orderly and is very outraged that there is still no criminal case.

Lawyer Alexey Berezin adds: as of today, February 3, Yelena has not been interrogated, and the media published inaccurate information that they allegedly did so.

«She was invited for interrogation only on February 4, already after the information was published in the media,» the lawyer added.

Investigative Committee Conducts Check

On February 3, the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee for the Perm Krai published a release stating that investigators of the Industrial District of Perm are checking information about a «possible crime against a patient under the article »Rape.«»

«Preliminarily, it has been established that on January 1, 2026, the girl was delivered to the emergency department of one of the medical institutions located in the Industrial District,» the Investigative Committee«s message says. »According to the girl, a crime against sexual freedom was committed against her in the clinic.«

The Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee for the Perm Krai claims that investigators have conducted an inspection of the scene, interviewed the applicant and medical personnel, and appointed forensic examinations. Based on the results of the check, a decision will be made on opening a criminal case.
