The criminal case against the leadership of «Kuzbass Fuel Company» and «Kuzbass Fuel Supply» has been officially closed. The Investigative Committee on Tuesday, February 3, in response to a request from NGS42.RU, reported that severe consequences due to disruptions in the supply of graded coal were avoided.
The investigation was initiated under the article on abuse of authority last year, when the companies refused to supply coal to the population at preferential prices.
However, the department noted that the supply failure was quickly eliminated thanks to the intervention of the regional government, and therefore socially dangerous consequences did not occur.
«Based on the above, as well as due to the absence of criminal elements in the actions of the officials, the criminal case was terminated,» states the official response.
At the same time, the Investigative Committee emphasized that all other information regarding the circumstances of the investigation is not subject to disclosure.
The heating crisis for private homes arose in the winter of 2025, when the main suppliers of subsidized coal for the population«s needs refused to ship fuel at the old prices. Residents recorded an appeal to the authorities, accusing former governor Sergei Tsivilyov of leaving the region without coal.
