19-year-old Yaroslavl resident detained in intimate salon raid

Police conducted a raid on a massage salon in the settlement of Izmaylovo in the Leninsky urban district of Moscow region. During the operation, three women were detained, including a 19-year-old girl from Yaroslavl.

«In the course of operational information processing, police established that intimate services are provided for monetary compensation in the massage salon premises,» said Tatiana Petrova, head of the information and public relations department of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Moscow Region.

According to law enforcement, the organization of illegal activity was handled by a 46-year-old Moscow resident who worked as an administrator. She controlled order in the premises, answered phone calls, accepted money from clients, monitored the time of service provision, and instructed new employees on the specifics of the work.

In addition to the administrator, a 34-year-old resident of Lytkarino and the 19-year-old Yaroslavl woman were detained. Administrative protocols were drawn up against both under Article 6.11 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (prostitution), which carries a fine of up to two thousand rubles (approximately $22 at current rates).

A criminal case has been initiated against the organizer under Article 241 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (organization of prostitution). If found guilty, she faces up to five years in prison. For the duration of the investigation, she has been placed under a travel ban and proper behavior pledge.
