Authorities in Yaroslavl have warned of severe frosts expected in the region on January 31. In the morning hours, temperatures in the northern areas of the region may drop to -30 degrees Celsius (-22°F).

‘Frosty weather of -30 degrees Celsius (-22°F) is expected in the north of the Yaroslavl Region during the night and morning hours of January 31. Drivers, when planning intercity trips in low temperature conditions, should have a supply of fuel, drinking water, and warm clothing,’ city authorities warned.

According to data from the service ‘Weather 76.RU,’ in Yaroslavl on January 31, the thermometer will drop to -21 degrees Celsius (-6°F). On the night of February 1, frosts will reach -23 degrees Celsius (-9°F). Snowfall is also expected. It will only warm up slightly from the second half of next week: on February 5, the air temperature will rise to -11 degrees Celsius (12°F).
