Krasnodar to see 10°C temperature drop this weekend

Residents of Krasnodar can expect temperature swings this coming weekend. On Saturday, January 31, the morning will start with rain, which will continue throughout the day. The temperature will drop to +2 °C (36 °F) — according to the forecast from Yandex Weather, it will feel like -4 °C (25 °F).

Overall, in the Kuban region on January 31, it will be cloudy. In some areas, there will be rain, and in the mountains, wet snow will begin. In certain districts, strong winds of up to 20-25 m/s (45-56 mph) will blow, and thunderstorms with hail are also expected. Forecasters from the regional hydrometeorological center have warned that roads may be slippery. Thermometers will read +7…+12 °C (45…54 °F) in the south and +3…+8 °C (37…46 °F) in the north. In the mountains, it will be coldest (down to 0…-5 °C (32…23 °F) during the day).

Some areas of Krasnodar Krai will be covered by heavy precipitation on February 1 as well. Meteorologists also forecast wet snow accumulation on power lines and trees. On the Black Sea coast and in the southern half of the region, +4…+9 °C (39…48 °F) is expected, and in the southeast — +1…+6 °C (34…43 °F).
