Frosts to Return to Rostov Region on Sunday

On Saturday, January 31, the weather in Rostov Region will still be relatively mild, but on Sunday, February 1, the region will feel the return of frosts.
In Rostov-on-Don on Saturday, variable cloudiness with clear spells is expected. There may be short-term rains, and in the morning — ice on the roads. The wind will blow from the southeast, gradually turning to the southwest, at a speed of 6–11 meters per second. The air temperature during the day will range from +2 to +4 degrees Celsius (36–39°F), and at night it will drop to -2...-4°C (28–25°F).
On Sunday, the situation will change sharply. During the day, the thermometer will not rise above -4 degrees Celsius (25°F), and at night the frosts will intensify to -16°C (3°F). In the morning, precipitation will occur: first rain, gradually turning into wet snow and snow. Forecasters warn of wet snow sticking to wires and trees. By midday, precipitation should stop.
Throughout the day, ice will persist on the roads. The wind will change direction to southwest, then to northwest, with a speed of 7–12 meters per second.
Across the entire Rostov Region on Saturday, it will also be cloudy with clear spells. In places, light and moderate rains are forecast, and in the morning — with a mix of wet snow. In some areas, fog, ice, and ice on the roads are possible.
The wind on Saturday is expected to be southeasterly, turning to southwesterly, with a speed of 6–11 meters per second. The air temperature during the day will fluctuate from 0 to +5 degrees Celsius (32–41°F), at night — from -3 to -2°C (27–28°F). In places, ice, sticking of wet snow to wires and trees are likely, and in the south of the region at night and in the morning — fog. Roads will be slippery due to ice.
The wind on Sunday will be southwesterly with a transition to northwesterly, speed 7–12 meters per second. The temperature background will drop significantly: during the day in the north of the region, -10 to -15°C (14–5°F) is expected, in the south — from -2 to -7°C (28–19°F). In the very southern districts, the temperature may approach the zero mark (32°F).
