Forecasters Predict Anomalous February for Togliatti
Forecasters from the Russian Hydrometeorological Center have shared what to expect from February this year. According to specialists« forecasts, the last month of winter will be warmer than usual.
On the map from the Russian Hydrometeorological Center, Samara Oblast is in a zone of increased air temperature.
«According to forecasts, February will be on average one degree warmer than the long-term average values,» the forecasters reported.
There is also a forecast for snow.
«An anomalously high amount of precipitation is expected,» warned specialists from the Russian Hydrometeorological Center.
The prevailing night air temperature in February will be -14…-9 degrees Celsius (7…16°F), while the daytime temperature will be -9…-4 degrees Celsius (16…25°F).
«During the cooling period, the air temperature at night will be -24…-19 degrees Celsius (-11…-2°F). During the day, it will be slightly warmer: -17…-12 degrees Celsius (1…10°F),» the specialists said.
Normally, the average daily air temperature in February is -12…-8 degrees Celsius (10…18°F).
«An anomaly is forecast: the air temperature is expected to be one degree above normal,» reported forecasters from the Russian Hydrometeorological Center.
Usually, in the south of the Volga Federal District, 24-44 millimeters of precipitation fall in February.
«In 2026, more snow than usual is expected,» specialists shared in the forecast.
Recently, we were expecting a snow apocalypse from Moscow, but it did not reach Samara Oblast. However, the ten-day forecast is already coming true.
