Emergency warning issued for severe snow in Sverdlovsk Oblast

Rescuers have issued an emergency weather warning for Sverdlovsk Oblast for 30 January. According to forecasters, the region should expect heavy snowfall.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) asks drivers to observe traffic rules, speed limits, and safe distances, and to be careful when performing maneuvers on the road.
If heavy precipitation catches you on the road, move to the far right lane and stop slowly. Turn on your hazard lights and wait out the snowfall.
Pedestrians should avoid unstable structures and houses with insecure roofing. In case of an emergency, call the single emergency number «112».
On the morning of 29 January, a powerful snowfall hit Yekaterinburg, which rescuers and forecasters had warned about. According to Yandex Weather, precipitation will not stop until 7 p.m., and may even continue for several more days.
