Yaroslavl Residents Complain About Stuffiness and Cold in Transport
Residents of Yaroslavl have noted uncomfortable temperatures inside buses and trolleybuses, where it is often either too hot or too cold.
One passenger, Ekaterina, described her experience: «First you ride in a cold trolleybus on an icy seat, then in a bus hot air blows right in your face. Why is there no happy medium?»
The Ministry of Road Management and Transport of the region explained that the temperature regime is monitored daily by the State Institution of the Yaroslavl Region «Organizer of Transportation of the Yaroslavl Region».
The social standard for transport services stipulates that the temperature inside the cabin should be between +12 and +25 degrees Celsius (54 to 77 degrees Fahrenheit).
Although this standard is advisory, for Yaroslavl carriers it is a mandatory condition of their contract.
Specialists regularly go out on routes to take measurements. The procedure follows specific rules: the device is placed in the area of the wheel pairs, away from heat sources, and they wait at least six minutes after entering the cabin for the readings to stabilize.
The temperature sensor is located in the driver«s cabin, and the driver can adjust it according to established norms.
Violations of the temperature regime can be reported via the «Gosuslugi. Reshaem vmeste» app or by phone at 8 (4852) 30-40-95.
