Yaroslavl Gripped by Traffic Jams After Snowfall

The Frunzensky district in Yaroslavl was paralyzed by significant traffic jams on the morning of January 27 following a snowfall.

Significant traffic difficulties primarily affected the Frunzensky district. In the service Yandex.Maps, the following are marked in red:
- Tormoznoye and Suzdalskoye Highways
- Frunze and Moskovsky Avenues
- Kalinina Street

Passengers were seen crowding at bus stops due to extensive delays in public transport caused by the traffic congestion.

«From Kalinina Street along Suzdalskoye Highway to Vyemka, it took almost an hour. Buses are also stuck in traffic. At the stops, crowds of people who cannot wait for transport,» said one of the residents of the district.

Snow removal equipment working on the roadway contributed to worsening the traffic situation in several parts of the city.

Representatives of the Yaroslavl police clarified that there were no reports of serious road traffic accidents in the city.

A parked loaded truck created an additional obstruction on a narrow road section, hampering the flow of traffic.

One of the causes of the traffic jam on Kalinina Street was the work of cleaning equipment occupying the roadway. Additional difficulties were created by a loaded truck parked in the area of YaERZ and occupying an entire lane on a narrow section of the road.
Traffic jams also formed on Aviatorov Avenue in the Zavolzhsky district.
