Yaroslavl bus stop info boards not working: Ministry responds

Yaroslavl residents noticed that at some bus stops in the city, brand new information boards have been installed, intended to display electronic public transport schedules. However, they often only show the time and air temperature.

The editorial board of 76.RU sent a request to the Ministry of Road Management and Transport of Yaroslavl Oblast to find out the cause of the malfunction.

«The process of connecting the boards to the system is currently underway, and some of them are already fully operational. Information boards are primarily installed in places with high passenger traffic,» the ministry clarified.

According to the authorities, a total of 25 information boards have been installed on new bus stop complexes in Yaroslavl. In particular, they have appeared at stops on Bogoyavlenskaya Square, Oktyabrskaya Square, and Bolshaya Oktyabrskaya Street. They will display the current time, date, and the schedule of public transport that stops at these stops.

Recall that new bus stop complexes began to be installed in 2024 and will continue to be placed through the end of 2026.

Earlier, Yaroslavl residents complained about stuffy buses. As clarified by the State Public Institution of Yaroslavl Oblast «Transport Organizer of Yaroslavl Oblast», according to regulations, the temperature inside the bus should be no less than +12 °C (54°F) and no more than +25 °C (77°F).
