In Yaroslavl, authorities have begun searching for a carrier willing to service bus route No. 44 «Avtozavodskaya Street — Torgovy Lane.» The work must be performed from March 1 to December 31, 2026. This information was published on the state procurement website.

It is stated that a maximum of ten large-class buses should be put into service. The contract will be valid from the moment of signing until March 3, 2027.

«The expiration of the contract does not entail termination of mutual obligations of the parties under the contract,» the documentation says.

The authorities are ready to pay the carrier a maximum of 57.7 million rubles (approx. $641,100 at current rates). The contract will be awarded to the company that agrees to perform the services at the lowest cost during the auction.

Route No. 44 in Yaroslavl was canceled from April 1, 2023. At that time, the Ministry of Transport explained that it would be replaced by bus No. 94S. However, at the end of 2024, the route was reinstated. It was decided to reopen it to additionally provide transport for residents of the Leninsky District during the cancellation of tram service due to track repairs.

Earlier, authorities had already sought a carrier who would work on this route from February 1 to December 31, 2026. However, the auction was declared invalid. Then, 5.2 million rubles (approx. $57,800 at current rates) were intended to be paid to a carrier who would undertake servicing the route from February 1 to February 28, 2026.
