Volgograd to repair four sections of two Longitudinal Highways for a billion

The Municipal Institution «Komdorstroi» is seeking a contractor to spend 1,086,330,162 rubles (approximately $12.1 million at current rates) on repairing four sections of the First and Second Longitudinal Highways in the north and south of Volgograd. The auction documentation appeared the day before on the portal for state and municipal procurement.

According to the auction documentation, by September 1, 2027, the contractor must repair Lenina Avenue from Tarifnaya to Shtemenko, 64th Army Street from Sanatornaya to Izolyatornaya, Lazorevaya Street in the Kirovsky District, and Heroes of Stalingrad Avenue from Lazorevaya to Udmurtskaya. One of the mandatory conditions is the installation or replacement of existing bus stop pavilions and traffic light objects, and the last item in the work schedule is the flushing of the storm sewer networks.

The contractor must begin the work directly on March 15, 2026. Three facilities — Lenina Avenue, 64th Army Street, and Heroes of Stalingrad Avenue — must be completed in 2026. The repair of Lazorevaya Street must be finished in 2027. The work will be paid for by the budget of Volgograd.
