Ulyanovsk Announces Traffic Changes for Spasskaya Street Repair

In April, large-scale reconstruction of one of the central streets — Spasskaya — will begin in Ulyanovsk. This was announced by city mayor Alexander Boldakin in his Telegram channel. Plans include serious updates to the roadway, sidewalks, replacement of tram rails, and installation of historical-style lamp posts. Simultaneously, a section of the heating network near the monument to Arkady Plastov will be replaced.
The repair will affect the section from Lenin Street to Plastov Boulevard. Tram traffic will not be fully closed — trams will be able to run alternately on a single track.
To avoid excessive traffic jams, two-way traffic will be temporarily introduced on Dvortsovaya and Dmitry Ulyanov streets instead of the current one-way system.
The work is expected to be completed in August.
