Tyumen Residents Travel 10 km More Due to Closed Turn to Uspenka

The closure of the exit to the village of Uspenka in the Tyumen District forces drivers to take a detour of ten kilometers. The issue became known after a local resident appealed on social media.
In his appeal, the Tyumen resident wrote:
«We ask for assistance regarding the exit to the village of Uspenka. They closed a good exit, and to get to the village, it is necessary to make a detour of 10 km. Taxi fares have increased, many deliveries from stores have stopped working, and I believe this has affected the price of public transport. It is necessary to reconsider the route to the village.»
The administration of the Tyumen District explained that the left turn to Uspenka was closed during the reconstruction of the Tyumen–Yekaterinburg highway for safety reasons. «During the project development, the terrain features were taken into account, which did not allow for a turnaround loop to Uspenka to be built closer than it is now. Changes in traffic movement are not planned by Uralupravtodor (the Ural Road Administration),» they stated.
Authorities have developed project documentation for the construction of a local road along Khvoynaya Street with access to the federal highway. This will shorten the route to the village from Tyumen. However, the construction issue will be considered only if funding is available, and the budget for 2026 does not allocate funds.
