Transport schedule altered after heavy snowstorm hits Moscow area

Due to heavy snowfall, several bus routes in Moscow and the surrounding area have their schedules extended.

The general director of Mostransavto, Andrei Mayorov, announced that the busiest bus routes will run longer today. Their operation will be extended by one hour due to heavy snowfall and traffic jams.

«Today there is snowfall. Buses were stuck in traffic, trucks skidded on the MKAD. The situation was difficult. We understand that in the evening it won»t be easier and we decided to extend bus operation by an hour. These are the routes that were most stuck in traffic in the morning,« said Andrei Mayorov on social media.

Temporary changes will also affect Balashikha. As for route No. 1201 «Drozhino — Moscow (Bulvar Dmitriya Donskogo metro station)», it will be extended not by an hour, but by half an hour. Residents requested this, added the head of Mostransavto.
