Tolyatti to Ban Vehicle Stopping on Novozavodskaya Street

From February 16, a complete ban on stopping vehicles on both sides of the roadway is being introduced on a section of Novozavodskaya Street in the Central District of Tolyatti. The restriction will be in effect from Shlutova Street to the IRBIS gas station (Novozavodskaya, 45, building 3).
«The decision was made by city authorities to improve road traffic safety,» explained the Tolyatti administration.
Drivers who need to stop in this area are advised to use permitted parking bays and organized parking lots on adjacent streets. Violators face fines in accordance with the Russian Code of Administrative Offenses.
Road services have already begun installing the appropriate prohibition signs and applying markings. The authorities have also announced monitoring of the situation after the ban is introduced to assess its impact on accident rates and traffic flow.
Meanwhile, in the regional capital, news is being discussed that could also affect Tolyatti residents who travel to the railway station by personal transport. On Komsomolskaya Square, they want to remove parking.
