Theatralnaya Metro Station Construction Progressing Rapidly, Ministry Reports

The Ministry of Construction of Samara Region has once again shared a report on the Theatralnaya metro station. The department showed what is happening at the site.
«Work is in full swing here. To date, the overall readiness of the station is 77%. Construction is strictly on schedule,» reported representatives of the department.
What is already ready:
the running tunnels have been completely passed;
construction, installation, and finishing work continue;
installation of internal engineering systems is underway.
The Ministry of Construction promises not to forget not only about the station itself but also about the adjacent streets: Galaktionovskaya, Samarskaya, and Novo-Sadovaya.
«They have been closed for several years now, and residents have been observing the work for a long time. In 2026, the streets will be opened and improved. This will restore public transport routes, including trams on Galaktionovskaya Street, and normalize traffic for all residents and guests of the city,» stated the press service of the department.
Earlier, the Minister of Construction of Samara Region told how much equipment has already been purchased for the station.
Theatralnaya will complete the first line of the Samara metro. The deadlines for commissioning the station have been shifted several times. At the end of 2023, the construction was even frozen.
However, then a breakthrough was made at the site. Workers finished driving the left running tunnel, and in May the laying of the second tunnel began. In early November, it became known that slightly more than 100 meters remained to be dug.
The second tunnel was completed on 27 November. Our filming crew observed the tunnel-boring shield emerging from underground. The Theatralnaya station is expected to be put into operation at the end of 2027 — beginning of 2028.
