Residents of the Svetly Yar workers« settlement are outraged by the operation of the bus that runs to Volgograd. According to them, drivers on route No. 115 ignore the schedule and pick up passengers at times convenient for them. As a result, residents have to wait for transport for up to 40 minutes, but it often simply does not show up.

As readers of V1.RU who travel from Svetly Yar to Yubileyny and back told the outlet, long waits for transport are not the only problem they face.

“Where can we complain about the transport, mainly about bus No. 115? We can’t take it anymore. Prices are raised almost every month, there is no schedule, I come when I want. What kind of injustice is this? This is a global problem for people who work in Svetly Yar or vice versa,” say the residents. “At the moment, buses No. 115 and No. 116 run on this route. Route No. 116 runs reliably, but No. 115 runs as and when it pleases. It has happened several times that it didn’t show up at all. This was in the evening. You have to wait for it for more than 20 minutes, sometimes even 40.”

V1.RU has inquired with the regional transport and road infrastructure committee about the reasons for the disruptions in the operation of bus No. 115 and what measures will be taken to solve the problem.

“The actual deviation of bus movement on the route from the approved schedule was due to the detection of technical malfunctions in the rolling stock on the line caused by adverse weather conditions and the updating of drivers’ work schedules due to some of them taking sick leave,” the department later reported. “Volgogradavtotrans Joint Stock Company apologizes for the inconvenience caused and reports that all possible measures will be taken to eliminate the noted shortcomings in operations and improve the quality of passenger service.

Previously, passengers using the services of bus No. 6, which connects the city center with the industrial zone of the Dzerzhinsky district and the airport, complained about schedule disruptions. According to city residents, drivers do not adhere to the timetable, and as a result, comfortable trips are just a dream. Meanwhile, officials assure that they have not received mass complaints about the bus service.
