Subsidies for Sochi-Sukhum sea transport top 80 million rubles

Rosmorrechflot, the Federal Agency for Maritime and River Transport, has announced the start of the selection process for subsidies to transport passengers on high-speed sea vessels on the Sochi-Sukhum route (in Abkhazia) in 2026.
The application period starts on January 27 at 09:00 and will last until February 6 at 09:00 (Moscow time) on the portal for providing measures of state financial support.
For this purpose, 80.8 million rubles (approximately $897,800 at current rates) have been allocated from the federal budget.
It is noted that Russian organizations conducting high-speed sea passenger transport on the Sochi-Sukhum route can participate in the selection. The sea vessels can be owned or chartered, built in the territory of the Russian Federation after January 1, 2018.
