University and college students will be able to ride public transport for free in honor of Russian Student«s Day on January 25 in Angarsk and Bratsk (in Irkutsk Oblast, Russia). This was announced on the social media of the city administrations.
In Angarsk, the promotion in honor of the holiday will be valid for several days. Students will be able to ride trams for free from January 24 to 26. For this, they will need to present a student ID.
As for Bratsk, free travel will be available only on January 25 from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. The benefit can be used on some buses and all trolleybuses.
In Irkutsk, a year ago, a similar promotion was held for students of higher and secondary professional educational institutions in municipal transport (in buses of «Irkutskavtotrans», trams and trolleybuses of «Irkutskgortrans»). We asked the city administration«s press service whether it would be organized in 2026, but at the time of publication, no response had been received.
