Stavropol and Mineralnye Vody airport terminals to be reconstructed by 2030

The reconstruction of international terminals at Stavropol and Mineralnye Vody airports is part of a broader infrastructure upgrade in the region.
The Stavropol Krai is preparing for a large-scale reconstruction of international airports. Infrastructure decisions were made against the backdrop of growing passenger traffic and an increase in the number of flights.
In 2025, the passenger traffic at the two airports in the region exceeded 5.1 million people, which became one of the key factors for launching the renewal.
As reported by the Ministry of Road Infrastructure and Transport of the Stavropol Krai, preparatory work is currently underway for the reconstruction of international terminals with necessary engineering infrastructure facilities.
Approximate completion dates for the work:
in Stavropol — 2029;
in Mineralnye Vody — 2028.
In addition, the renewal and expansion of runways are planned, which will allow for an increase in the number of aircraft that can be accommodated.
The growth in passenger traffic is also linked to the launch of new destinations. In 2025, Mineralnye Vody Airport opened flights to Bodrum, Astana, Batumi, Phuket, as well as new routes within Russia.
