Snowfall in Volgograd Region: Ban on Truck and Vehicle Movement

In the Volgograd Region, temporary movement restrictions have been imposed on freight and passenger transport due to heavy snowfall. This was reported by the regional Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (GU MVD).
Heavy evening snowfall completely paralyzed traffic on the city«s main highways.
The restriction is in effect from 22:30 on February 2 on federal highways passing through the region«s territory, up to the borders with Voronezh, Saratov, Astrakhan, and Rostov regions.
The reason is unfavorable weather conditions, including snowfall and visibility of less than 50 meters. The restrictions will remain in place until special orders from the authorities.
Earlier, Governor Andrey Bocharov called for limiting traffic on Volgograd«s main roads. The evening snowfall has already paralyzed the Second and Third Longitudinal Highways, where trucks got stuck on snow-covered slopes.
Police strongly recommend avoiding car trips and using alternative means of transportation.
