Reversible lane to be restored during Dimitro Bridge repairs
The Dimitro Bridge has been under repair for the third year.
In Novosibirsk, repair work on the Dimitro Bridge will begin this winter, without waiting for spring. This was announced by Vice Mayor Iosif Kodolaev at a press conference at Interfax on January 27.
First, the contractor will begin demolition work. This year, the lane from the left to the right bank will be repaired.
«We will continue the practice of using reversible lanes, which proved successful last year. We did not receive a single complaint from residents last year. Except for some traffic accidents,» the vice mayor added.
Together with the Center for Traffic Management (CTM), the city hall will assist drivers who have been in accidents in difficult sections, including on the bridge.
An NGS correspondent sent a request to the city hall to find out exactly when the work is planned to begin.
The authorities of Novosibirsk plan to solve the traffic jam problem caused by the fourth bridge, which have been occurring on both the right and left banks.
