Perm in 8-point gridlock after heavy snowfall
Today morning Perm ground to a halt with 8-point traffic jams. Yesterday the city was again covered in snow — Andrei Shikhov forecast that the snowfall would last until Wednesday morning. We tell you what is happening on the roads.
On the morning of 4 February, the Department of Transport reported that public transport was delayed by 25 minutes or more. According to Yandex Maps, traffic jams in the city remain at eight points. Particularly heavy congestion is now on Komsomolsky Prospekt, Pushkin Street, Uralskaya Street, Stakhanovskaya Street, and Karpinskogo Street.
In the group «ChP DTP Perm» on VK, Perm residents write that Sapfirnaya Street in Motovilikha is so snowed in that instead of four lanes of traffic, only two remain.
Problems from the snowfall arose not only for city transport. The Perm Suburban Company reported that the «Convenient Train» bus service from Yazovaya station at 8:14 was cancelled due to technical reasons.
