In Yekaterinburg on Tatishcheva Street, an ambulance with its special signals on got stuck on tram rails. To clear the way, the driver and passengers of tram number 3 had to get out and push the medical vehicle.
It took the efforts of approximately ten people to dislodge the stranded ambulance.
«The ambulance got stuck on the tracks, but I didn«t see how it ended up there. Perhaps someone felt ill either in the tram or on the avenue,» said eyewitness Anna, who recorded the video.
The recording shows about ten people trying to move the car. During the process, one of the men in a bright vest starts gesturing actively, apparently giving signals.
After a few minutes, the ambulance managed to reverse a few meters, but soon it got stuck again. The tram approached closely, and its driver again joined the rescue operation. In the end, the car was pushed off the tracks with joint efforts.
The reasons why the car ended up on the isolated tram tracks, and whether its presence was necessary due to an incident in the carriage, are being clarified. A corresponding inquiry has been sent to the city administration«s press service.
Similar cases have occurred in Yekaterinburg before:
  • Last week in the Academichesky district, a tram dragged a car that had stopped in its way along the rails.
  • In February 2024, a tram impaled a passenger car on the anti-slip coating («kolbasa») that had also gotten stuck on the tracks.
