Passenger trains delayed for hours due to Crimean Bridge suspension

Due to a temporary halt of traffic on the Crimean Bridge overnight on January 28, passenger trains have been delayed. Among them are several Moscow-bound routes. This was reported by the press service of the North Caucasus Railway.

«Today, January 28, due to the suspension of traffic on the Crimean Bridge starting from 00:12, in the Krasnodar region of the North Caucasus Railway for a period from one and a half to five and a half hours,» the department clarified.

Among the delayed:

  • No. 028 Moscow – Simferopol delayed by 3 hours;
  • No. 195 Moscow – Simferopol delayed by 4.5 hours;
  • No. 092 Moscow – Sevastopol delayed by 5 hours;
  • No. 007 Saint Petersburg – Sevastopol delayed by 7 hours;
  • No. 327 Kislovodsk – Simferopol delayed by 4.5 hours;
  • No. 316 Adler – Simferopol delayed by 4.5 hours;
  • No. 185 Tyumen – Simferopol delayed by 4 hours;
  • No. 068 Simferopol – Moscow delayed by 6.5 hours;
  • No. 196 Simferopol – Moscow delayed by 3.5 hours;
  • No. 092 Sevastopol – Moscow delayed by 4 hours;
  • No. 078 Simferopol – Saint Petersburg delayed by 5 hours;
  • No. 328 Simferopol – Kislovodsk delayed by 6 hours.

According to railway officials, passengers whose trains are idle for more than four hours will be provided with drinking water and food.

Meanwhile, on Moscow«s roads, there are continuous traffic jams. The blame lies with heavy snowfall. The Department of Transport has been asking Muscovites for the second day to use only public transport.
