Passenger traffic between the federal territory of Sirius and mountain resorts has increased multiple times since the start of the winter season. After additional Lastochka train services were added to the schedule on December 20 on the Imeretinsky Resort — Rosa Khutor route, more than 43,000 people have used the electric train to travel to the mountains. This was reported by the head of the Sirius Federal Territory, Dmitry Plishkin, on his Telegram channel. According to him, this is almost 3.5 times higher than the same period last year.
«Together with Russian Railways (RZD), we are working to update the schedule and frequency of trains so that residents and guests of the federal territory can conveniently plan trips to work, study, cultural and sporting events, to the sea or to the mountains,» he wrote.
As of today, 9 pairs of electric trains run daily on the route from Sirius to the Rosa Khutor station. In addition, 30 pairs of trains operate in the direction of Sochi.
It is noted that the statistics clearly confirm that the seasonal adjustments in transport logistics were in demand.
