Novosibirsk Road Closure Causes 20-Minute Minibus Walk

Authorities have placed warning signs on Staroshchuk Street after the road was closed over safety fears.
In Novosibirsk, residents of Military Town are finding it hard to use minibuses to leave the neighborhood due to a road closure. On Saturday, January 24, traffic was blocked on Viktor Staroshchuk Street because of an unsafe building at 1 Garanina Street.

Minibus route No. 90 is now detouring along Proletarskaya Street to avoid the blocked section.
“They worry the roof will fall onto the road. It has been closed off. But when will something be done?” wrote NGS.RU reader Svetlana.
The road closure persists due to concerns about the structural integrity of a nearby building.
Now, she says, detours are necessary via Voinskaya Street. The only minibus, route No. 90, which serves the town, is taking a detour along Proletarskaya Street.
According to Svetlana, it now takes around 20 minutes to walk to the required bus stop.
An NGS.RU correspondent has sent a query to the Novosibirsk mayor«s office seeking a comment on the situation.
Previously in Novosibirsk, authorities planned to impose a state of emergency at a building on Shkolnaya Street. The mayor«s office explained the reasons.
