Nizhny Novgorod tram №2 suspended due to utility failure
Today, January 30, tram №2 will temporarily stop running in Nizhny Novgorod. Due to an accident on utility networks, its movement on the outer ring will be suspended, reported the company «Ecological Projects».
According to the organization, the accident occurred on a cold water supply pipeline near the tram tracks on Ilyinskaya Street, 83. From 11:00, repair and restoration work will begin there. Because of this, trams will not run in the direction of «Chyorny Prud — Lyadova Square».
«Information on the resumption of service will be provided later,» added «Ecological Projects».

Just the day before, several cars that were obstructing tram traffic were towed in Nizhny Novgorod. According to CRTS, electric transport often idles due to reasons beyond its control. In connection with this, drivers are asked to be more attentive on the roads and not to interfere with public transport operations.
