New Dedicated Lanes for Public Transport to Appear in Yekaterinburg

A map highlights the planned locations for new dedicated public transport lanes across Yekaterinburg«s street network.
The Yekaterinburg Administration has announced an increase in the number of dedicated lanes for public transport. The work is planned on several sections of city roads.
New dedicated lanes will be installed on the following streets:
- Amundsen Street, from Akademika Parina to the Yekaterinburg Ring Road;
- Kosmonavov Avenue, from Ilyicha Street to Shefskaya Street;
- Kosmonavov Avenue, from Mashinostroiteley Street to Melkovsky Lane;
- Kosmonavov Avenue, from Chelyuskintsev Street to Frontovykh Brigad Street;
- Ordzhonikidze Street, from 40-letiya Oktyabrya Street to Mashinostroiteley Street.
The city hall also announced plans to update the public transport fleet in 2026. The city will purchase 15 articulated buses, 100 large buses, 30 medium buses, 50 trams, and 50 trolleybuses.
A detailed map has been compiled to review all existing and planned dedicated lanes.
Similar lanes have already been introduced in Yekaterinburg. In 2025, they appeared in the city center, on Kosmonavov Avenue, as well as on Karl Liebknecht Street and Serafimy Deryabinoi Street.
