From January 26, minibus route No. 17 in Chelyabinsk, which connected the AMZ settlement with Professor Blagikh Street, will cease operation.
The transport organizer of Chelyabinsk Oblast announced on January 22 that instead, bus No. 17a will run on a similar route.
The carrier LLC «Taxi-Service Kom» filed an application for early termination of work.
The department explained:
For trips from the AMZ settlement, use buses with regulated tariffs No. 5, 28, 51 with a transfer at the Furniture Settlement to bus 17a. Its route passes through Beyvelya Street, Chicherina Street, Komsomolsky Prospekt, 40th Anniversary of Victory Street, Brothers Kashirinykh Street, Sverdlovsky Prospekt, Vorovskogo Street, and Blyukhera Street. New mid-class buses are operating on the route, all benefits are valid, and bank and transport cards are accepted for payment.
Minibus No. 17 had been operating on outdated PAZ vehicles, often overcrowded during peak hours.
Previously, minibus routes No. 66 and No. 40 also disappeared from the city«s streets.
The cessation of their work might be related to the launch of new trolleybus lines in the AMZ area, carried out in spring 2024.
