In Sochi, the State Traffic Inspectorate (GAI) is conducting a large-scale raid to check taxi vehicles. It began on January 26 and will last until February 1.
The main goal of the preventive measure is passenger safety, reports the press service of the Sochi Police Department.
Traffic inspectors are checking the technical condition of vehicles, the presence of licenses and other documents. Special attention is being paid to the transportation of children.
«The mandatory use of child seats and restraint devices will be checked. We recommend that passengers be careful when boarding, and drivers check their vehicles and documents in advance,» the message says.
