Major road construction near Moscow City to start in four districts

Major road construction and embankment renovations are planned around Moscow City, affecting four central districts. The project involves building and reconstructing 25 kilometers of roads.

In the vicinity of Moscow City, 25 kilometers of roads will be built and reconstructed. The work will affect four districts at once: Central, Western, Northwestern, and Northern.

The street network is being developed to serve Moscow City, future offices, and new logistics and business centers. Near Moscow City, Antonova-Ovseenko Street, adjacent streets, and exits from the TTK (Third Transport Ring) will be reconstructed — all to serve «City-2». Also, on the other side of the TTK, exits to «iCity» will be built.

North of Moscow City, interchanges at the intersection of the Third Transport Ring with Zvenigorodskoye Highway and Shmitovsky Proyezd will be reconstructed. Shelepikhinskaya and Karamyshevskaya embankments will undergo improvements.

On the other side of the river, a section of Novozavodskaya Street will be reconstructed, streets will be built on the territory of the space research and production center (AO GKNPTs im. M.V. Khrunicheva, Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Center), and two sections of the Moscow River embankment will be renovated. The updated Novozavodskaya Street will be connected by a road bridge to the Mnevnikovskaya Floodplain.

Also, two pedestrian bridges will appear, connecting the Mnevnikovskaya Floodplain with Krylatskoye and Fili Park. Finally, south of Moscow City, Kultneva Street, leading to SberCity and «Kutuzovskaya», will be reconstructed. And near «Begovaya», Magistralny Lane, 1st, 2nd, and 5th Magistralnaya Streets, and 2nd Khoroshevsky Proyezd will be updated.

Construction timelines were not specified, but the mayor also promised to develop ground public transport routes in these areas.
