Lenin Avenue Duplicate First Stage Cost Hits 14.7B

The Lenin Avenue duplicate in Nizhny Novgorod is planned to be built under a concession agreement, which is expected to be concluded in 2026. The cost of the first stage is estimated at nearly 14.7 billion rubles ($147 million at current rates).

Compared to previous estimates, the investment volume has increased by 237 million rubles ($2.4 million at current rates). The section, about 4.6 kilometers long, will be a four-lane road with a transport interchange. Design will take 15 months, and construction will take 2.5 years.

In 2025, the planning and surveying project for this duplicate was approved. The construction is divided into three stages:

• first — from Internatsionalnaya Street to Molitovsky Bridge;
• second — a transport interchange with Molitovsky Bridge and Komsomolskaya Square;
• third — from Sovetskaya Street to Internatsionalnaya Street with an interchange at the Metro Bridge.

The project customer is the company DL PLUS, affiliated with Dorozhnaya Stroitelnaya Kompaniya (Road Construction Company). According to data, the company Avtoban, which is building the Gagarin Avenue duplicate, is also interested in the project.
