Lastochka Trains Temporarily Replaced in Samara Oblast

Starting Saturday, January 24, several 'Lastochka' high-speed trains in Samara Oblast will be substituted with ED4M electric trains due to operational needs, with changes scheduled on multiple dates.

Starting Saturday, January 24, changes are coming to suburban rail service in Samara Oblast.

«Due to production necessity, rolling stock »Lastochka« (ES2G) is being replaced with ED4M in a 6-car configuration,» the Samara Suburban Passenger Company reported.

Thus, on January 24, 31, and February 7, the following trains will be replaced:

Train No. 7141 Samara (departure 07:30) – Syzran-1 (arrival 09:11);
Train No. 7142 Syzran-1 (09:25) – Samara (11:07);
Train No. 7145 Samara (18:30) – Syzran-1 (20:10).

And on January 25, February 1, and 8, these:

Train No. 7142 Syzran-1 (09:25) – Samara (11:07);
Train No. 7124/7123 Novokuybyshevskaya (17:44) – Tolyatti (20:07);
Train No. 7130/7129 Tolyatti (20:56) – Novokuybyshevskaya (23:17).

«Lastochka» trains were replaced by other trains in early October last year, for two days. Then an upcoming replacement was announced in mid-November, also for two days. Railway representatives explained such shuffles in both cases as being due to production necessity.
