In Krasnoyarsk, new locally-produced charging stations for electric cars have been connected to the grid for the first time. Energy specialists have identified suitable locations — the stations are installed at 46 Svobodny Prospect and 52 Alexeeva Street.

The equipment is resistant to the harsh weather conditions of the Krasnoyarsk Territory: according to the manufacturer, the charging stations operate stably even in severe frosts. Energy specialists will provide further support for the operation of the charging devices.

«The charging stations used in our network are equipped with a heating system so that internal components work correctly. The lower limit is minus 45 degrees Celsius (minus 49 degrees Fahrenheit). As practice shows, the stations handle such temperatures. Fast charging stations allow charging a car within one hour, so that it can be used throughout the day,» said Mikhail Kozyrev, chief expert of the development and implementation of services and services department at Rosseti Siberia.

The new electric chargers support three connection standards: Type 2, CHAdeMO, GB/T. They are suitable for almost any modern electric vehicle. During the first month, the new electric charging stations will operate in test mode, and charging will be free.

«The full production cycle of charging stations, from design documentation to assembly, is organized in Krasnoyarsk. Most materials and parts are domestic. Plans include the development of the charging infrastructure in the region and across Russia as a whole,» noted Gennady Nelidov, head of the automation and mechanization department at NPP Radiosvyaz.
