Plans are in place to widen the regional highway from Tyumen towards Irbit, increasing the number of lanes to four. The preliminary estimate for modernizing the nearly 30-kilometer section is 4.9 billion rubles.

The stated cost was calculated based on 2018 prices and may be adjusted later. Concrete timelines for the start of construction have not been set: regional authorities have repeatedly noted that implementation will begin after funding sources are clarified.

A severe traffic accident previously occurred on this section of the highway, claiming several victims, including children.

Earlier reports mentioned work on widening federal highways in the Tyumen Region. One of them already has four lanes within the region, and soon its length in this configuration will exceed three hundred kilometers.
