Illegal Parking Paralyzes Tram Traffic in Ulyanovsk Center

A parked crossover blocks tram rails on a central street, disrupting public transport services.
On January 30 at 11:20, tram traffic in the city center was paralyzed, according to the Ulyanovsk Electrotran Municipal Unitary Enterprise (MUP). On Lenina Street, a driver of a Nissan crossover parked in the second row and blocked the tracks. As a result, trams cannot proceed towards the UKSM settlement and Gaya Avenue.
While the parking violator is being sought, trams are temporarily rerouted through the 19th microdistrict. Passengers are asked to account for the changed traffic scheme.
Recall that on January 30, in Ulyanovsk, test trials of the autonomous trolleybus «Avangard» are concluding. Over the month, the vehicle has transported more than five thousand passengers and performed well during severe frosts. The issue of purchasing similar trolleybuses for the city«s needs is being decided.
